Despite the storms, the climate bonus payment has resumed in full. However, not everyone has been able to collect their post.

Due to heavy rainfall and flooding in eastern Austria, the climate bonus delivery from Monday was partially unsuccessful.
Climate bonus consignments intended for places of residence where delivery was or is not possible will be stored securely and delivered during the week if possible. Climate bonus items and voting cards are currently prioritized for delivery.

It is important to note that the entitlement to the climate bonus does not expire, and people who are no longer able to collect their consignment due to the current situation can use the relevant contact form at klimabonus.gv.at to provide their account details for a direct bank transfer.
“Despite the massive storm, the climate bonus delivery in the areas affected by the flooding has been fully resumed. In the last few days, Swiss Post has really done everything humanly possible to restore delivery operations and thus also get the climate bonus delivery back on track,” said Climate Protection Minister Leonore Gewessler.

She continued: “The postal workers delivered climate bonuses and election cards safely to the affected areas on Monday despite knee-deep water in some places. Thank you very much for this incredible achievement.”
